Door Creation

Door types are edited using the Door Types Window. To open the Door Types Window, select a door in the Levels Window and click the Edit button next to the Door Type pop-up menu in the floating Inspector Window. (It is also possible to open the Door Types window by double-clicking on a door; be sure the Double-Clicking on Object Opens Editor checkbox is checked in the Preferences Window.) For more information on selecting objects and using the Inspector Window, see the Level Object Manipulation section.

The Door Types Window is divided into two tabs: Animation Sequences and Sound Collections. The left side of the Door Types Window contains controls for selecting, creating, and deleting door types. (See the Object Type Management part of the Common Production Tasks section for more information on the use of these kinds of controls.)

More information on doors is available in the Doors part of the Elements of a Game section.

Editing Door Animation Sequences

Each door type has four animation sequences, each of which may consist of any number of frames. Door animation sequences are edited within the Animation Sequences tab of the Door Types Window.

Editing Door Sound Collections

Each door type has two sound collections, containing sounds that are played when the door opens and closes. These sounds are edited within the Sound Collections tab of the Door Types Window.
