When the Level Actions item is selected in the Level Routines Window's Actions to Perform column, the following set of controls appears in the panel on the right side of the Level Routines window. These controls are used to configure level related actions that are carried out when the selected routine is performed in the game. These actions include inserting material into a level, changing the amount of time remaining, and connecting to another level.


Insert Block of Material Checkbox

Determines whether a block of material is inserted into the level when the selected routine is performed. Information on materials and Solid Material Masks is available in the Elements of a Game section.

Material Type Controls

Determines which type of material is inserted into the level when the selected routine is performed

Location of Top Left Corner X and Y Fields

Determines the location of the top left corner of the block of material that is inserted into the level when the selected routine is performed

Location of Bottom Right Corner X and Y Fields

Determines the location of the bottom right corner of the block of material that is inserted into the level when the selected routine is performed

Change Time Remaining Checkbox

Determines whether the time remaining in this level will be changed when the selected routine is performed

Set Time To Radio Button

Determines whether the time remaining in the level is set to a certain value when the selected routine is performed

Increase Time By Radio Button

Determines whether the time remaining in the level is changed by a certain amount when the selected routine is performed

Connect to Another Level Checkbox

Determines whether a new level will begin when the selected routine is performed

Level to Connect to Field

Determines which level begins when the selected routine is performed. To end the game, enter 0.

Set Custom Respawn Location Checkbox

Determines whether a custom respawn location will be set when the selected routine is performed

Custom Respawn Location X and Y Fields

Determines the location of the custom respawn location that is set when the selected routine is performed
