Playing Finished Games / Managing Saved Games

Games made with Power Game Factory may allow players to save their progress and resume the game later. When a game is resumed, the player appears at the beginning of the level in which they were playing when the game was last exited.

Saving Games

If the player dies or quits a game after having advanced beyond the first level, the option to save a game becomes available. In these cases, the Save Game Prompt appears, as shown below.

Click the Save button to confirm that you want to save your progress. After clicking the Save button, another dialog will prompt you to enter a name for the saved game, as shown below. Entering a name and clicking OK adds the game to the collection of saved games.

Resuming Saved Games

On the Title Screen, the Continue Saved Game Button (Command-C, Command-R), is used to resume a previously saved game. When the Continue Saved Game Button is clicked, the Continue Saved Game Window appears, presenting a selection of available saved games, along with controls for resuming and deleting saved games, as shown below.

Each saved game is listed by name. Game status information appears in columns labeled Level, Time, and Lives. To resume a saved game, select it in the Continue Saved Game Window and then click the Resume button. The game will resume from the beginning of the level in which it was last saved, and the player's weapons, ammo, lives, and energy will be the same as they were at the start of the level in which the game was last saved.

Deleting Saved Games

To delete a saved game, select it in the Continue Saved Game Window and then click the Delete Saved Game button. You will be asked if you are sure you want to delete the selected saved game. If you click OK, the game will be permanently removed.
