Menu Items / The Window Menu | |
Each major window in Power Game Factory can be reached through the Window Menu. The Window Menu is also used to show or hide the toolbar and accompanying tips, and to change the position of the toolbar. The following commands appear in the Window Menu: |

Minimize |
Collapses the current window into the Dock. Keyboard Shortcut: Command-M |
Zoom |
Zooms the current window up to its full size. |
Hide Toolbar |
Hides the toolbar, providing more room for the current window. After selecting this command, the Hide Toolbar menu text changes to "Show Toolbar." Selecting Show Toolbar restores the toolbar. |
Hide Toolbar Tips |
Hides the context sensitive tips that appear under the toolbar, providing more room for the current window. After selecting this command, the menu text changes to "Show Toolbar Tips." Selecting Show Toolbar Tips restores the toolbar tips. Toolbar tips can only be shown and hidden when the toolbar is positioned along the top edge of the screen, because when the toolbar is positioned along the left edge of the screen there is no space for tips along the toolbar. To position the toolbar along the top edge of the screen, choose Position Toolbar on Top from the Window menu. |
Position Toolbar on Top |
Positions the toolbar along the top edge of the screen. This command is only available if the toolbar is visible. To make the toolbar visible, choose Show Toolbar from the Window Menu. |
Position Toolbar on Left |
Positions the toolbar along the left edge of the screen. This command is only available if the toolbar is visible. To make the toolbar visible, choose Show Toolbar from the Window Menu. When the toolbar is positioned along the left edge of the screen, toolbar tips may not be shown. |
Levels |
Displays the Levels Window, which is used to create and modify game levels and level contents. Keyboard Shortcut: Command-1 |
Character Sets |
Displays the Character Sets Window, which is used to edit character animation sequences, character sounds, and certain behavioral properties. Keyboard Shortcut: Command-2 |
Player Sets |
Displays the Player Sets Window, which is used to edit player animation sequences, player sounds, and certain behavioral properties. Keyboard Shortcut: Command-3 |
Interface |
Displays the Interface window, which is used to edit the game's main menu, dialog boxes, intro cut screen, sound effects, and additional game properties. Keyboard Shortcut: Command-4 |
Status Bar |
Displays the Status Bar window, which is used to edit the health display, on-screen numbers, and map view, along with other status-related displays and additional properties that determine their location on the screen. Keyboard Shortcut: Command-5 |
Items |
Displays the Items Window, which is used to edit the animation sequences and sound effects associated with the three types of items: ammo packs, weapons, and power-ups. Keyboard Shortcut: Command-6 |
Weapons |
Displays the Weapons Window, which is used to edit the properties of weapons, including their behavior, appearance when being used, status bar icons, and sound effects. Keyboard Shortcut: Command-7 |
Projectiles |
Displays the Projectiles Window, which is used to edit projectile animation sequences, sound effects, and physical properties. Keyboard Shortcut: Command-8 |
Miscellaneous |
Displays the Miscellaneous Window, which is used to edit the animation sequences and sound effects associated with shell casings and contrails. The Miscellaneous Window is also used to select the music that is available for use throughout the game. Keyboard Shortcut: Command-9 |
Properties |
If the Levels Window is open, this command displays the Properties floating window. The Properties floating window contains editable information on the currently selected object in the level. If the Levels Window is not open, the Properties floating window can not be shown. Keyboard Shortcut: Command-0 |
Navigator |
If the Levels Window is open, this command displays the Navigator floating window. The Navigator floating window displays a small map of the level and can be used to quickly scroll to any location within the level. If the Levels Window is not open, the Navigator floating window can not be shown. Keyboard Shortcut: Command-= |
